Patience [Long-suffering]

Do you suppose, when you pass judgement on those who practice evil and do the same, that you will escape the judgement of God? Or do you think lightly of the riches of his kindness, tolerance, and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?

I implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another.

We pray that you may be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience.

As those who have been chosen of God, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other. Just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.

It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost. Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate his perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in him for eternal life.

I solemnly charge; Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.

We desire that each one of you show diligence so as to realize that full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

As an example of suffering and patience, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. We count those blessed who endured.
